Why use Calendula Petals?
Used internally, calendula petals may be helpful for gastric ulcers and inflammation. Being rich in sulfur, calendula has excellent blood cleansing and anti-fungal actions. Contains pro-vitamin A, essential oil.
The cultivar, Calendula Officinalis, should only be used and not the common garden variety. The petals have antiseptic & healing properties which may help to prevent the spread of infection and hasten the rate of healing/repair. A wash/tea can be made from the flowers to apply to the skin (cleaned) without stinging. Should not be used on open wounds. Widely used as a detoxifying herb, it may aid in treating toxicity from fevers, infections, and skin disorders.
Dosage –
Horses – 1 – 1 1/2 cups per day.
Ponies – 1/2 – 1 cup per day.
Storage – Keep supplied bag sealed or store in an airtight container.
